We have some excellent instructors who are teaching private & semi-private lessons (2 students per 30 minutes). They are very in-demand instructors and spots will fill quickly.
We open the schedule the following month at the end of the current month.
*For the beginner who is comfortable in the water.
*Swimmers learn basics of swimming: bobbing, going under water, supported front and back floating, supported rolling over from front to back and back to front, supported gliding, supported flutter kick, and jumping in.
Your child must be comfortable in the water and independent of needing a parent right next to them. If after 2 classes we feel the child is not ready we will need to remove that child from the class.
*Swimmers should already be able to float with support on front and back and put their head under water.
*Swimmers will work on: independent front and back floating , independent rolling over from front to back and back to front, independent front and back glides, front crawl arms and kicks, back crawl arms and kicks, retrieving underwater objects, and jumping into water over their head.
*Swimmers should already be comfortable swimming front stroke and swimming on their back.
*Swimmers will work on: freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, breast stroke and dolphin kicks, retrieving objects in deeper water, treading water, jumping into deep water and compact dives.
*Swimmers should already be able to: swim freestyle and backstroke 25 yards.
*Swimmers will work on: rotary breathing, freestyle, backstroke, dolphin kick and breaststroke, intro to turning at wall, treading water, and diving in kneeling position.
*For Group classes: Your child must be at least 5 years old, comfortable in the water and independent.
Parents sit behind the stanchions for group classes and cannot be right beside their children during their lesson.
If after 2 classes we feel a student is not ready for their class we will need to remove that child from the class.
Your registration fee will be pro-rated and refunded.
